Day 1 - After
arrival on board and meeting with the crew, it is nice to relax under the
tropical starlit sky. To get used to the time difference it would be
advisable not to turn in too early.
Day
2 - (14 miles) We leave down wind for a quiet sail to Anguilla;
arrival in Road Bay with its long white beach and many beachbars.
Day
3 - (5 miles) To the uninhabited little islands of Prickley
Pear Cays, where the swimming and snorkeling are superb (see picture).
In the afternoon back again to Road Bay for a visit to Johnno's who has
often a steelband to dance till late at night.
Day
4 - (13 miles) Back to St.
Maarten for a visit to Marigot, the capital oft he French part of
this island. There are many boutiques and open air restaurants.
Day 5 - (10
miles) Next morning we leave for Tintamarre,
where we will have lunch. Tintamarre is an uninhabited island and in
Worldwar II it has been used as a bunkering spot for the German U-boats;
under the scrub the landings strip is still visible. After lunch we sail
to Ile Pinel, a well protected
anchorage for the night with its miles long beach and great snorkeling on
the reef.
Day
6 - (14 miles) To St.
Barts with lunch stop on Ile
Fourche where only goats live. We finish the day in the bay of Anse
Columbier.
Day
7 - Will be relaxing on the beach or we could do an island tour to explore
this beautiful island that in earlier day was owned by Sweden. At the end
of the day we anchor in front of the capital Gustavia, the so called St.
Tropez of the Caribbean.
Day
8 - (26 miles) Today we start early to be in time in St.
Eustatius.
In earlier days this island was the trade centre of the Caribbean and it
was very rich; you can make an island tour or visit the museum. A visit to
Fort Oranje is a must.
Day
9 - (29 miles) To Nevis,
a former English colony and now together with St.Kitts
an independent country with a miles long almost deserted beach.
Day
10 - (7 miles) In the afternoon to St.Kitts.
We anchor in White House Bay.If we are there in time, we make a walk to
the windward side of the island.
Day
11 - (40 miles) Downwind or with the wind on the beam we sail to Saba.
We anchor in front of the Ladder and go snorkeling at the most beautiful
spot oft his trip. Those who like to stretch their legs can climb the
Ladder (428 steps).
Day
12 - (25 miles) Back to St.
Maarten with a visit to the capital Philipsburg to maybe do some
tax free shopping.
Day
13 can be used during the cruise, for example to make an island tour on St.Kitts,
for a walk to the top of St.
Eustatius or
Saba
or to spend an extra day on St.
Maarten
Day
14 - Departure.
This
is an example of a 14 day holiday on board of Aeson. The final itinerary
will be made at the beginning of the charter together with the guests.
